The Primera División, known officially as Liga Profesional de Fútbol, is Argentina´s premier football top division, the first country outside the UK to establish a football league. The Argentine championship was ranked as one of the top 10 strongest leagues worldwide for the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, among La Liga (Spain), Premiere League (England), Serie A (Italy) and Bundesliga (Germany).

#01 TORNEO APERTURA (February-June)

Tournament format: 30 teams drawn into 2 zones of 15 teams each.
Initial stage of 14 rounds. Once the groups stage is over, the best teams in each zone will advance to the playoffs, with rounds of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final to determine the champion, always in a single match. 240 matches per tournament.

#02 TORNEO CLAUSURA (July-December)

Tournament format: 30 teams drawn into 2 zones of 15 teams each.
Initial stage of 14 rounds. Once the groups stage is over, the best teams in each zone will advance to the playoffs, with rounds of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final to determine the champion, always in a single match. 240 matches per tournament.

#03 COPA ARGENTINA 2024/25
The “Argentine Cup” is a tournament contested by teams of all divisions form the Argentine football league system with the aim of qualifying one club to the Copa Libertadores and the Supercopa Argentina (against the reigning champion of Primera División).

It has a direct elimination system format and all matches are played at neutral venues. In the case of subsisting the parity during the 90 minutes, the tie is broken by penalty shots.

In total there are 64 games from the 32nd finals from the end of January to November, 20 of them are played on July-August, during the break of the European football season.

Games are scheduled on weekdays between 18.30 and 21.30 GMT. The 2024 Season will include English voiceover plus an additional 30 min. Matchday Magazine per round with the highlights of every game.

#04 TROFEO DE CAMPEONES DE LA LIGA PROFESIONAL
Is an official national football cup of Argentina organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA), and contested by the winners of the Torneo Apertura (played between February and June) and the Torneo Clausura (played between July and December).
It consists of a single match played at a neutral venue, generally on December.
